Door County is famous for its many shipwrecks. Did you know that the name Door County has its roots in the French name 'Porte des Morts', and can be traced back to a battle between the Potawatomi and Winnebago Indian tribes? According to legend, the battle took place at Door Bluff County Park, which is just north of our marina or a scenic bicycle ride from the resort via Garrett Bay Road.
Port Haven Cottage
'This cottage has two stories, 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and sleeps up to 8 people, kids included and features central air/heat. The full kitchen and living room with a *decorative fireplace are on the first floor with one bedroom (queen bed) and one bath. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with 2 twin beds.
There is a queen sofabed in the living room. This unit has a private porch with sitting area(and grill) and has a partial water view (looking through trees). It is tucked in the woods near our private beach.
